It's been about a month now that Evan has been eating solid food (i.e. something other than breast milk), and as I've
discussed before, he's quite the proficient eater. We've been working our way through the various fruits and vegetables with almost no resistance (although he didn't like bananas one bit -- I think he got that from me), so we decided today was the day for Evan to move up the food chain and try some meat. And where better to make one's debut as a carnivore (OK, technically as an omnivore, but let's not split hairs) than at
In-N-Out Burger?
This, of course, was not Evan's first trip to In-N-Out. He's been there several times before, but exclusively as a spectator. This was his first chance to sit at the table with the other meat eaters, although he was ordering from a slightly different menu. I'm not sure why, but I don't believe In-N-Out offers
Turkey & Turkey Broth (or more accurately, turkey paste... mmm, turkey paste). They may want to consider it in the future, because Evan sure liked it.
Here are a few pictures of Evan's first bites of turkey:

You may have noticed that in all the pictures I've posted of Evan eating he's got his arms open wide. I think he's trying to embrace the food. Whatever he's doing, he does it all the time.
