At breakfast this morning Evan drank all his milk part way through so he asked for more. This in itself wasn't novel or interesting -- it happens every morning. The exchange between he and I was a bit novel, though:
Evan: "Want to have more milk?"
Dad: "Want to have more milk, what?"
Evan: "Want to have more milk to drink?"
Dad: "Want to have more milk to drink, what?"
Evan: "Want to have more milk to drink in the mouth?"
Dad: "No, how do you ask nicely?"
Evan: "Want to have more milk, please?"
