Book Club Costume Party

Steph's New Moms Book Club had an actual book club get together today, and since it is the day before Halloween they arranged to have the kids wear their Halloween costumes, and since the kids were wearing their Halloween costumes they invited dads to join in the fun, and since I'm still working only part time to help us transition to a 4-person household I was able to go.  Not being an actual member of the book club I didn't read the book, so I wasn't much of a contributor to their discussion.  That left me free to follow Evan around and take pictures of him doing normal kid-at-the-park things in his bunny costume:

I don't know that we've ever actually mentioned it on this blog, but Evan is crazy for bunnies.  They might be the only thing he likes more than trucks (might... he really likes trucks).  Amazingly enough, we couldn't find a bunny costume to buy in our brief looking around (almost any other animal you can imagine, but no bunnies), so Steph bought a pattern and my mom made the costume while she was staying with us.  We were afraid when push came to shove he might balk at wearing the whole outfit -- it's quite a struggle to get him to even wear a jacket, let alone a full body suit -- but he was a more than willing participant (which you'll see in more detail in a couple of posts).
